TrackTown Youth League Scholarship Program

As part of our mission to inspire Oregon youth to participate in track and field, the TrackTown Youth League and Oregon Sports Authority Foundation are pleased to offer scholarship funds to cover individual participation fees for youth track and field programs throughout the state of Oregon. Funds are available for youth in financial need ages 7 to 14 and not yet in 9th grade or entering 9th grade during the remainder of the calendar year. Funds may be used to cover club fees, school team participation fees or after school program fees associated with track and field.

Applications for an individual athlete may be submitted at any time by the athlete, a parent/guardian, or a coach/school representative of the athlete in need. However, funds are allocated on a first come first served basis beginning in March of each year, so we recommend submitting your application as soon as you know your team participation costs. Applications may be submitted via e-mail, fax, or mail. Download the individual scholarship application here.

We also accept applications from program coaches looking to provide reduced participation fees for multiple youth on their team. The deadline to submit a larger program scholarship request is March 1, 2019. Please note granted scholarship funds are to be used to promote team participation by reducing or waiving the team participation fee for athletes unable to pay the full amount, and are not to be used for other team costs such as equipment, uniforms, or coaching salaries. Recipients of the reduced or waived fee must be between the ages of 7 and 14 and not yet in 9th grade or entering 9th grade during the remainder of the calendar year. Applications may be submitted via e-mail, fax, or mail. Download the program scholarship application here.
