Girls On Track Workshop Night in Hood River

TrackTown Youth League is partnering with Providence Sports Medicine and Positive Coaching Alliance to offer a free workshop intended for girls age 7-14, parents and coaches! Join us for a night to celebrate and educate active girls and women, and help change the national statistic that girls are 6 times more likely to drop out of sport by age 12 than boys.

Evening includes:

  • Free dinner for pre-registered participants

  • Special guest athletes Kendall Johnson, 6 year professional soccer player in the NWSL including with the Portland Thorns, and Amanda Phillips, elite runner and current qualifier to compete in the marathon at Olympic Trials next February, sharing their stories of how sports has impacted their lives

  • Breakout workshops for girls provided by Positive Coaching Alliance. Learn what it means to be a Triple-Impact Competitor! Youth workshop is a fun activity-based experience.

  • Panel Discussion for the adults featuring Kendall Johnson, Amanda Phillips, Chris Van Wagner (Executive Director Sports Medicine for Providence Health and Services), and Alex Rudd (Program Manager Community Impact at the Oregon Sports Authority) .

  • Raffle prizes

  • Let’s come together as a community and become more empowered
